Major seven cricket stadiums in Australia are ready to light up
simultaneously and welcome cricket’s global superstars during ICC Men’s T20
World Cup 2022. Only a week left for starting of the world’s exciting and
thrilling cricketing events with 16 ICC cricket-playing nations. It will start
on 16 October 2022 and end with the Final on 13 November 2022. The world’s top
T20 cricketers from 16 international teams will clash against each other in 45
matches during this ICC T20 World Cup in Australia. Aussies are hosting the ICC
T20 world cup in their seven major national stadiums for the first time. The
seven Australian ICC T20 World Cup 2022 hosting cities are Adelaide, Sydney,
Melbourne, Perth, Geelong, Hobart, and Brisbane giving chance to large
cricketing fans to watch and enjoy one of the biggest global sporting events in
Australia. 2022 Asia Cup Champion Sri Lanka will take on Namibia in the
first-round opening match on Sunday i.e. 16 October 2022 at Kardinia Park,
Geelong. Both of these teams are joined by two qualifiers in Group A. Two-Time ICC
T20 World Cup winners West Indies will take on Scotland in Hobart and joined by
other two qualifiers in Group B during the first round.
2022 ICC T20 World Cup Round 1, Super 12, and Remaining Schedules,
Venues, Dates, and Timings
First Round winner from Group A and runner-up from Group B will be
included in Super 12 Group 1 with Australia, New Zealand, England, and
Afghanistan. In contrast, the winner from Group B and runner-up from Group A
will be involved in Super 12 Group 2 with India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and
South Africa. After First Round, the Super 12 round will begin on 22 October
where Australia will play against New Zealand on Saturday at SCG (Sydney
Cricket Ground). Two of the world cricket’s biggest rivals, India and Pakistan,
will face each other at MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) on Sunday 23 October
2022. It will be the first head-to-head match between these two rivals in ICC
T20 World Cup 2022 before two more fierce rivals, Australia and England, meet
at MCG on 28 October 2022.
Two semi-finals will be played between Group A and Group B top teams at
the SCG and Adelaide Oval on 9 and 10 November 2022. MCG will host ICC Men’s
